ANCOPPS (All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools) is using sports as a tool, first to engage the youths and then to empower them. Sports promote teamwork, effort, goals, leadership, humility and commitment. It is highly competitive but winning is not the primary measure of success.

Sportsmanship, respect for participants and dignity in the face of adversity are more important than the outcome of every contest.

YOUTH ENGAGEMENT: We  are using the universal passion for sports to transcend linguistic & socio-cultural differences, bring people together, improve leadership and promote mutual understanding. Lessons from the field; communication, respect and teamwork, can then be transferred into the community.

YOUTH EMPOWERMENT: With support from private sector organizations, sports can be a source of employment; for athletes, trainers, scouts, coaches and medical personnel. Empowering more people has a positive effect on the society as it reduces unemployment and improves security, as more people are taken out of crime, drugs and prostitution.
