PROJECT 2024+

“Everyone has the desire to succeed but only champions have the desire to prepare.”

Project 2024+ is 6-year plan designed by O3 Athletics to revive athletics in Nigeria and to make Nigeria a powerhouse in athletics. The aim is to have a production line of athletes that would win gold medals in both male and female categories at every Olympics games and World Athletics Championship, with the number of the subsequent medals surpassing the previous.

We intend to scout and select the best and fastest young talents in the country, take them through our carefully developed programs and give them early exposure. Scouting will be a continuous process, to give everyone the opportunity to be a part of this project; therefore, athletes not initially selected would have a chance of joining in future.

Every selected athlete will be given a handbook; a code of conduct/agreement that states our expectations; and a time/distance target, a benchmark for qualification into the next phase.

We believe our message of hope and the possibility of restoring Nigeria’s pride in athletics resonates with you and that together, we can help more kids have a brighter future through athletics.

DEVELOPMENTAL TRAINING

In addition to developmental training in athletics, athletes would be trained in Public Speaking (to be able to conveniently grant interviews), Moral Education (to learn respect for fellow athletes, competitors and constituted authorities) and Volunteering/ Community Development (to be able to give back after a successful career) among others.
